“Until Victory” Work Guarantee: What Does It Mean in Practice for Our Client?
When a company decides to attract grant funding, the first question it faces is how to choose a grant writer and which cooperation model to select.
Let us briefly break down the main options for paying grant writers on the market:
- Fixed Fee (Fix): You pay for the preparation and submission process regardless of the outcome.
- Fixed Fee + Percentage of the Grant (Fix + Success Fee): The most common option, involving a base cost for document preparation plus an additional bonus in case of a win.
- Pure Percentage (Success Fee): The grant writer receives payment only in the event of victory. (Sounds attractive, but top experts rarely work under this model because preparing a high-quality application requires hundreds of hours of work).
One Submission Is Almost Never Enough Based on our statistics, our own experience, and the experience of our colleagues, we have reached a clear conclusion: one submission is not enough to secure a win.
Grant competitions involve intense competition, where dozens of factors influence the decision. This is completely normal for the market.
However, we want to avoid situations where we are paid to submit a single application and the project fails to win. Even though that is how the market operates, this model does not satisfy us. We do not sell the process – we require results.
How We Work: The “Until Victory” Model We have moved away from one-off submissions and specify in our contract that we work “until victory.”
What does this mean in practice for the client?
It means an unlimited number of submissions to various grant programs. We do not limit ourselves to a single competition; instead, we select and adapt the project for different suitable grants.
If securing a win takes 2 submissions, there will be 2. If it requires 5 or 7 submissions to different programs with continuous adaptation of the application, we will carry them out until you receive the grant.
Why Is This Beneficial for Your Business?
- Broad Coverage: We submit your project to various grant programs, which significantly increases your chances of success.
- Predictable Costs: You know the exact budget upfront and do not pay extra for each subsequent submission or new program.
- Driven by Results: We are just as invested in a quick win as you are, so we put in maximum effort from the start.
- Analysis and Adaptation: If we receive a rejection or feedback from one program, we refine the project, submit it to another program, and keep moving forward.
- Confidence: You are not buying a single attempt – you are securing a guaranteed result and partnership.
Our goal is not simply to submit an application and check a box. Our goal is to bring grant funding into your business.
