Securing non-repayable grant funding

When they first contacted me, I didn’t expect this collaboration to lead to such a result. They reached out to me on their own, figured out what I do, and saw that my story was a good fit for the criteria of the new grant competitions. This immediately showed that the team really analyzes businesses, rather than just looking for clients.

I’d been approached by other grant managers before, so I had something to compare them to. After a personal conversation, I liked Oh My Grant’s approach: they have a solid understanding of both the specifics of grants and the business context. And there are so many nuances in grants that aren’t obvious to an outsider.

We started working in October, and by April we had already achieved results and secured a major grant. Just the other day, we renewed our long-term cooperation agreement. I think this is the best indicator of how satisfied I am with our work.

We’ve worked on several grant programs. Even in the early stages, it became clear that the team knows its stuff, is able to analyze a client’s situation, and highlight key points for successful participation in grant competitions.

Meetings with them start (and end!) on time. There’s always a clear plan of action: what’s expected of me, what they’re doing, by when it’s due, and so on.

Yes, no one but you can come up with a strategy for growing your business through grants, but Oh My Grant is ready to take on absolutely all the administrative and bureaucratic work. Sometimes, working with this team, I got the impression that they needed all of this even more than I did—and that’s a rarity in business; partnerships like this are worth cherishing.

It took us 14 months to see our first results. There were some failed attempts, but the team kept working steadily, and as a result, we secured a grant of over 20 million hryvnias to develop a new line of business for our company—one that we most likely would never have launched without this funding.

During that time, Oh My Grant gained a detailed understanding of the specifics of our business and explained exactly what kind of project they were looking for within the framework of this competition. Thanks to this, we were able to properly adapt our idea to the program’s requirements and select the project that best fit the grant.

At the same time, everything had to be done on a very tight schedule. As a result, our application stood out among more than 300 participants and, according to the competition results, was the best of all those submitted.

We’re pleased with the collaboration. And we believe this is just the beginning.

Although we already had solid experience with grants and had successfully submitted several applications on our own, we decided not to risk tackling the European Commission’s complex call for proposals without professional support. The amount was too large, and there were too many nuances we hadn’t encountered before.

As a result, we secured 500,000 euros over two years and were very satisfied with the collaboration. The team truly understands how these calls for proposals work, spots details that are easy to overlook, and at the same time fully immerses itself in the client’s business. I’d especially like to single out Mykyta Gorbatenko! He’s a top-notch specialist who’s deeply committed to the process, always available, and has a deep understanding of the subject matter.

Overall, we really liked Oh My Grant’s approach. You can feel their experience and professionalism, but without any unnecessary bureaucracy in our interactions. At some point, our collaboration stopped feeling like just working with a contractor—we connected so well with the team.

We’re now thinking about implementing the grant and continue to work with them. This is one of those cases where you want to stay with the team even after achieving the result.
